NWA POWERRR April 14th Recap: The Crockett Cup rolls on with opening round match-ups, and the NWA debut of Richard Adonis

This week's NWA Powerrr featured more opening round match-ups in the Crockett Cup, an upset victory, and the NWA Debut of Richard Adonis.

The Country Gentlemen move on to the 2nd Round of The Crockett Cup
The show opened up with the first of 3 Opening Round Crockett Cup matches as the #6 seed, The Country Gentlemen, took on the #11 seed Trevor Murdoch & Tyler Franks. The Country Gentlemen made their way to the ring with their father Joe Cazana, & Joe did not hold back his feelings towards the Tampa Bay Audience.
Trevor Murdoch & KC Cazana started off the match. KC Thought it was a good idea to get Trevor in the corner and hit him with a chop...but he learned quickly that was a very poor decision on his part. Trevor Murdoch had control of the most of the match to start things off.
Trevor left him for dead once Tyler Franks tagged in, but it seemed he was "up to snuff" as the Country Gentlemen regained control of the match rather quickly.
Once Trevor was able to get back into the match, it turned into an all out BRAWL between him and AJ Cazana.
In the end, Tyler Franks ended up costing his team the match, once the Country Gentlemen set him up for the Country Breakfast, and picked up the pinfall victory to move on to the next round of the Crockett Cup.
The Slimeballz pull off an upset 2 years in a row!
Our next match of the night saw more opening round action of the 2026 Crockett Cup as the #7 Seed Mim's & Pope took on the #10 seed The Slimeballz. Right from the Start Mim's & Pope showed that they didn't come to play games.
They learned very quickly that you do not underestimate the NWA United States Tag Team Champions once Sage started taking them both on at once!
It didn't take long though for Mim's & Pope to regain control of the match, at one point toying with Sage. Even showing defiance, it started to look like a pretty one sided match.
Once Tommy was able to get into the match, it was a SLIMEBALL EXPLOSION of offense!
In the end, The Slimeballz were able to pull off the victory, hitting the snot rocket on Mim's to advance to the 2nd Round of the 2026 Crockett Cup.
Richard Adonis makes his NWA Debut against JAC

In our next match-up we saw Richard Adonis make his NWA debut against JAC, and from the getgo, JAC made it clear it wasn't going to make this match easy.
Richard Adonis however showed he wasn't going down without a fight, hitting JAC with a brutal stomp on the back of the head in the corner turnbuckle, as well as showing off his groundwork!
JAC Came for a fight though, once again hitting a flurry of suplexes on the newcomer to the NWA.
In the end, JAC was able to pick up the pinfall victory, and his first victory in NWA!
Main event Crockett Cup Action!
The main event of this week's episode saw more opening round action for the 2026 Crockett Cup as the #9 seed El Dragon Nihan & Thom Latimer took on the #8 seed Carson Drake & Aron Stevens....or so we thought.
Carson & Thom started off the match, Carson tried gaining the upperhand quickly, but learned you can't play games with a former Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
Once the giants got into the match-up it was a fight for positioning as the two started going blow for blow.
And then Carson thought it was a good idea to slap a dragon, he learned very quickly that indeed, was not a good idea.
It seemed Nihan & Thom had the upperhand, that was until Carson dumped Thom to the outside, and distracted referee Jared Fritz so FOC could gang up. However it didn't take long for the ref to see what was going on.
In the end, Latimer & Nihan were able to hit a Tombstone Piledriver combination to secure the pinfall victory and advance to the next round of 2026 Crockett Cup.
Next Week on NWA Powerrr, Bryan Idol seeks revenge on Carnage for costing him the 10 pounds of gold, but the match has CHAMPIONSHIP stipulations involved!
