NWA POWERRR August 22th Recap: The 10 pounds of Gold is on the line! Effy makes his NWA Debut; a new #1 contender for the Worlds Heavyweight Title is decided; and the Women's TV Title is up for grabs!

This weekend's episode of NWA Powerrr was filled with exciting action including Gisele Shaw defending the NWA World Women's Television Title, Effy debuts for the NWA, a new #1 contender for the worlds heavyweight title, and the Thrillbilly finally gets his hands on Kerry Morton, with the 10 pounds of gold on the line
Gisele Shaw continues her reign, successfully retaining the NWA World Women's Title!
NWA World Women's Television Championship Match
Gisele Shaw def Liviyah
To open up NWA Powerrr this week, the NWA World Women's Television Title was on the line, as Gisele Shaw defended the belt against one of NWA's newest signings, Liviyah. Shaw wasted no time taking control of the match, hitting a massive spinebuster on Liviyah.
It didn't take long for Liviyah to land a flurry of offense on Gisele Shaw, proving she belongs in the NWA Women's Division.
Shaw was willing to pull out all of the stops though, to retain her title.
With just seconds left in the match, Shaw hit her signature running knee to secure the pinfall victory and retain the NWA World Women's Television Title.
Kratos welcomes Effy to the National Wrestling Alliance

In our next match, we saw the NWA Debut of International Superstar, Effy, against former NWA World Tag Team Champion, Kratos.
Kratos didn't take long to assert his dominance against the debutting Effy, launching Effy into the corner, but Effy answered right back with a high boot!
However, it didn't take long at all for Kratos to take over the match on his end, taking over with his power!
In the end, Kratos hit the K2G, to secure the pinfall against the debutting Effy, and now begin to make his way in the singles division.
The Loaded Glove plays a big part, and Carson Drake is the new #1 contender to the 10 pounds of Gold
#1 Contender Match for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title
Carson Drake def Pretty Boy Smooth
In our next match up, we saw a new #1 contender decided for the 10 pounds of gold as the FOC's Carson Drake took on Pretty Boy Smooth. It didn't take long for Pretty Boy to get the early advantage in the match.
Carson Drake tried to regain control of the match, taking out of on Pretty Boy's arms, but Smooth showed him even with one arm, he's able to handle him.
However after a distraction from Aron Stevens, he was able to make his way into the ring and use the loaded glove to the back of Pretty Boy's Head, which led to a roll up victory by Carson Drake, making him the new #1 contender to Silas Mason, and the 10 pounds of Gold!
Silas takes out Kerry Morton, and the main event of NWA 78 is set!
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title Match
ThrillBilly Silas Mason (C) def Kerry Morton
In this week's main event match up, the 10 pounds of gold was on the line, as The Thrillbilly Silas Mason defended the gold against his former brother, Kerry Morton, with special guest referee, Alex Taylor.
Kerry wasted no time taking it to the NWA Worlds Champion, showing that he came for the gold, and planned on leaving with it!
Silas was beginning to show signs of life in the match, that was until Ricky Morton grabbed him by the boot distracting him long enough for his son to regain the advantage!
Silas Mason once again was close to securing the victory over Kerry Morton, but that was until Ricky Morton pulled him out of the ring, stopping the 3 count.
In the end, Thrillbilly was able to hit the Thrillride on Kerry Morton to secure the pinfall victory and retain the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
