Rush Freeman was determined to climb the ranks of the National Wrestling Alliance! Try as he might, it never quite panned out.

First with the nearly forgotten Ill-Begotten, and then with his brother as The Spectaculars, Freeman worked overtime to establish himself as a tag team threat. Unfortunately, neither venture solidified quite like he hoped.

The Spectaculas, with former best friend Brady Pierce, fell apart. This his later pairing with Slade failed to gel.

Eventually the popular grappler quietly exited NWA®.
