NWA POWERRR January 27th Recap: WORLD TITLE TUESDAY! A HOSS FIGHT for the World Tag Team Titles; Shotzi makes her NWA Debut; and a turn of events in the main event for the 10 Pounds of Gold!

An absolute HOSS FIGHT for the World Tag Titles

NWA World Tag Team Title Match

The Immortals (C) def BFT

The show opened up with our first of 3 title fights for the evening. The Immortals defended the NWA World Tag Team Titles against former champions, BFT. The match started hot, with BFT attacking right at the bell. But it didn't take long for Odinson to take the advantage.

Kratos got in some of his own with brutal CHOP!

It looked like the champions had the challengers right where they wanted them, that was until odinson went shoulder first into a post, and BFT immediately picked up on the mistake and took the advantage once again in the match.

The Immortals weren't going down without a fight, Once kratos got into the match it become a back and forth fight!

In the end though, The Immortals came out with the victory once they were able to hit Immortality on Carnage and get the 3 count to retain the NWA World Tag team Championships.

A NWA World Women's Title Match 6 years in the making

NWA World Women's Championship Match

Natalia Markova (C) def Shotzi

The next match was 6 years in the making. We saw the debutting Shotzi take on Natalia Markova for the NWA World Women's Championship.

Markova didn't waste anytime being on the aggressive side, showing why she is the NWA World Women's Champion!

Shotzi had no problem answering back with offense of her own, and you could tell that this match was going to be good!

It didn't take long though for Natalia to start answering back, even at certain points seeming to be enjoying the pain and challenging Shotzi for more!

In the end, Markova was able to hit the Beautiful Destruction on Shotzi, followed up by an underhook armed DDT to get the pin and retain the NWA World Women's Title.

Main Event turns into a Peach Tree Street Fight

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title Match

Silas Mason (C) def Matt Cardona

In this week's main event, we saw the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Silas Mason, defend the gold against former champion Thom Latimer....or so we thought.

Matt Cardona attacked Thom Latimer from behind, making his way into the ring. Billy Corgan said the next time Cardona was in an NWA ring, he would get a title shot....so Billy a man of his word gave him the title shot....however it wasn't a normal match. It was now a Peach Tree Street Fight!

It didn't take long for this match to get out of control. After seemingly taking control of the match, Eric Smalls made his way to the ring, and well, we don't know who's side he was on.

Then former 2x Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch made his way down to the ring, staking his claim for the gold and distracting Silas. Alex Taylor attempted to help his Southern Six faction mate, but he ended up doing more damage then good.

In the end, Silas Mason was able to regain the advantage in the match, Hitting Cardona with a Thrill Ride & putting him to sleep, to retain the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title.
